We believe God offers transformation to every one of us and you will experience that here. Our preaching team will challenge you and help establish you in principles from the word of God. Our worship team will help you to encounter God in an intimate and personal way. Equipping people to fulfill their God-given calling is our mandate. A passion for revival, pursuing the presence of God in worship, and believing for powerful answers to prayer are foundational to our ministry.
Our Story
Our church was founded in 1993 by Pastors E.Z. and Lena Jones. E.Z. had an extensive background in real estate and sports and headed up many large Christian events in the Houston and surrounding areas. He was the founder of a large men’s ministry that drew hundreds of men while Lena spoke at many women’s meetings, retreats and conferences. They were not expecting the Lord to give them a mandate to start a church. But once they obeyed, God quickly sent them a group of young adults who were hungry for more of God. After training them for ministry, hundreds started attending their outreaches all over Fort Bend County which resulted in three and a half years of revival during the late 90’s. The power of God moved mightily and thousands of young people were impacted with the gospel. Many of those young people have now become adults who are leaders at our church or in other ministries. After experiencing a miraculous healing from cancer at age 86, Pastor E.Z. published the book “Never Give Up”. That’s exactly how he lived his life. His strength, faith and perseverance are part of the DNA of Epicenter Church. Although he went to be with the Lord at age 92 in 2025, Pastor Lena still plays a vital role in our multi-generational church.
Lena Jones
Founding Pastor
Lena teaches with truth and clarity and has a keen ability to hear from the Holy Spirit. She is known for her nurturing style and passion for people. Soon after surrendering her life to the Lord in 1976, Lena began speaking at women’s meetings, conferences and retreats across Houston and the U.S. God used her to minister wholeness and healing to countless people who had damaged emotions. Now a spiritual mother to many, her focus is on mentoring and training the next generation of preachers and leaders. As a founding pastor of Epicenter Church, Lena’s greatest desire is to transform lives and raise up the radicals who will impact the world.
Dan Rangel

Young Adults Pastor
Dan has a passion for helping people discover who they are in Christ. He knows that once a believer’s identity is firmly established, they can experience victory in their own lives and be equipped to move in power evangelism. He has seen countless healings while ministering on the streets as well as in church settings. In 2017, he and his wife, Elysia, graduated from Christ for the Nations and came on staff at the Epicenter Church. After teaching and discipling our young adults since 2023, Dan now serves as associate pastor.

Elysia gave her life to Jesus when she was five years old. After growing up in church, she experienced a time of deep emotional crisis during her teen years. Only then did she realize the importance of renewing her mind in order to understand her true worth and value in the Lord. Elysia has a heart to see believers transformed so they can find their purpose and identity. While attending Christ for the Nations with her husband, Dan, she discovered her passion for missions and her heart for impoverished children. Elysia serves as our church administrator and young adult’s pastor.

Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, Maker of all things and being in Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Son of God, Jesus Christ; became incarnated, was begotten by the Holy Spirit; born of the Virgin Mary; crucified; died; buried; and resurrected. He ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, and is true God and true man.
We believe that all are born sinners; the Holy Spirit convicts of sin; the Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for sin by shedding His precious blood on the cross as atonement for sin; those who reject His sacrifice for their sins are eternally lost; and those who repent of their sins and personally accept the Lord Jesus as Savior receive forgiveness of sin and life everlasting, and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
We believe in divine healing, through faith, and that healing is included in the atonement. The redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ provides healing for our spirit, soul, and body.
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, that all of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are valid and operate today, and that the fruit of the Holy Spirit should be increasingly evident in a Christian’s life.
We believe in intensive world evangelism and missionary work in accordance with the Great Commission, with signs and wonders following.
We believe in the Christian’s hope– the imminent, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

to equip and empower those who need strength
This foundational New Testament pattern brings fullness and balance to the body and equips the church for the work of the ministry. By training ministers and implementing a five-fold ministry style, we can release and send out those who will impact the world.
GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT // a way of giving
to restore that which is broken
We are a prophetic people who believe in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit in full measure. God uses us as an extension of His love both in revelation and in restoring people to wholeness. We are a center for emotional and physical healing
MISSIONS // a way of reaching
to seek that which is lost
We are a missions-sending church with an evangelistic heart and international influence. While making an impact locally, our reach is also global. The world is our field and we send, equip and fund wherever God leads.
MULTI-GENERATIONAL // a way of impacting
to establish a kingdom legacy
Our passion is to raise up sons and daughters who will become spiritual parents so that we continue to be a place to set the solitary in families. We want to raise up voices that will proclaim His power to each new generation. Our heart is to establish orphanages for children and places of refuge for others. Every generation is integral for sustained revival and kingdom legacy.
